Good idea
My friend who has a house in a rural Spanish town had to empty her house of the previous occupant's stuff and did similar..She put objects out a few at a time by the communal dustbins..from small ornaments to a sofa bed.
You could guarantee the items would have disappeared within half an hour. more…

Not really - I started to like steam trains when my two daughters were young and we used to go on the Santa express at Tenterden in Kent. When I met Sarah she liked trains too so it took off.
She now says I'm an anorak about them and this wasn't helped when I found myself on the cover of the March edition of Modern Railway magazine!! more…

Our tescos have loads of energy saving bulbs. They've also had two "sales" of them as well. I got the majority of the standard sized ones for the house at 11p each. The problem I have is getting the odd shaped ones. We've got a few lights which are awkward and it would cost more in natural resources to replace the fittings than it's costing to use more…

I have to confess that I don't take my carrier bags back mostly because most of them aren't re-usable by the time they've fallen to bits in transit!!
I do however put them straight into the re-cycling or re-use them to take my packed lunch to work in (using a nice Asda one today!!) more…
